Thanks, Next Assembly and Door Knocking!
Thanks to all who attended the January mini-assembly. We had a full house at the Mount Pleasant Community Centre, despite the weather. At this assembly, we introduced a sample deliberation in the second half, which we had a fair bit of positive feedback on. We are learning and aim to improve engagement in our next mini-assembly which will be held on Tuesday, February 17 at 7 PM at one of our members’ co-op meeting room near Science World. If you have not attended an assembly and want to come, please send an email to assemblevancouver@proton.me and let us know you can make it. If you have already attended an assembly, stay tuned – we will be having some exciting deliberation sessions in the coming months!
If you would like to volunteer to help with facilitation, organizing, social media, fundraising or flyering/door knocking, also let us know.
This evening (Wednesday) we will be having our first door-knocking and flyering session. I will be giving a short training session then we will be knocking on doors in Strathcona. We'll go from 6-730 and then head to a local establishment for some refreshments. Send an email to assemblevancouver@proton.me to confirm your attendance. We will be meeting on Keefer and Jackson at 6 pm!
You can also help us by passing on our website to all of your friends. We would love to have another full house on the 17th.

Again, thanks for your interest in democracy. Times are dark right now, but people power will get us through!
Take care and see you soon!
